Stone Bridge City Farm Continued...x

It's been a while since i've updated you on this project.
Well where do i start well just after i last told you about this project a couple of months ago
alot has happened since then.
Firstly i had my uni intrim crit where it was decided which aspect of this
huge project that i was to do.
It was decided i was to create the corporate idenity maunal and friends of the farm.
The corporate manual is a HUGE challenge because this will be
mainly working on one of my weakest aspects, layout.
This is be a huge learning curve for me.
However on the bright side there is still some creativity for this project.
I get to create the friends of the farm pack and illustrations.

Click HERE to find out more about friends of the farm.

Here is my view on the project,
Friends of the farm is where you pay £10 annually to help keep the farm running.
Sold allready click Here to fill the form out (pdf).

I will create illustrations and a small thank you pack for when you become a friend, because once a friend allways a friend at stone brudge city farm.

Here is some of my illustrations.
Here is my intrim crit presentation.

More on it's way soon hope you enjoyed this sneak preview of what has been done so far.
Thank you, Lana x

Teenage Cancer Trust - Poster competition. x

IWANT TO PARTY WITH EXAMPLE!

I entered this poster for a competition on Facebook,
The competition was to create a poster for example at the Royal Albert Hall
which was in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.
He was supported by London's MC Devlin and band Fenech-Soler.

This poster could have had a better layout now i'm looking back however
i went with the UK union jack colours which also go beside the teenage cancer trust colours too.

The silhouettes i think created a clean and simple less is more effect.
Maybe the support acts should just be logos not silhouettes.

I didn't win however the one that should of won didn't win either check it out here:

Thank you, Lana. x

Pink scrabble update. x

YAY PINK SCRABBLE!
Right as you all know i managed to get a box of pink special edition breast cancer awareness scrabble,
so soon i will make a selection of jewellery from the pink scrabble.

So here is the main piece i will be making asap is the pink scrabble tile and bow necklace, all items r in stock now so just need to find some spare time and get cracking on finishing these beauts.

These amazingly unique items have been created by an eBay seller
however they are no longer being sold so i will fill this gap.
The public need more beauts like this around their necks.
So im going to bring them back.

I hope you love as much as me.
Thank you
xo

Squishy adventure results. x

My squishy adventure. x
The results are in.

Either i did it wrong or it just is not worth all the hype i got sucked in by.
Here are my findings as previously i posted the ingredients list however i might of added abit too much oil because i added extra my final creations seemed very oily so i might retry and not add more oil.
Also i added a number of different food colouriongs to make the colours so maybe just maybe that could be the main culpret to.

Here is my evedience:
My coloured doughs.

My shapes from the pink dough.
This is after it was cooked for 35 seconds in to microwave oven.

The Blue dough shapes.
This image is from before the squishy dough was cooked.

To the left  you can see a plate of  shapes,
which needed to go in longer than 35 seconds. (roughly 45/50 seconds)
To the right you can see a plastic container
with items that did cook within the 35 seconds,
as for the previous image you can see where they were on the plate
 they were cooked on.

All blue cooked shapes.
These atook in total 50 seconds to cook within the microwave oven.

Kawaii squishy Finals.
My final creations with Kawaii style faces.

Close ups.

more close ups.

These creations left allot of oil marks on all surfaces they were left on,
i honestly think i personaly screwed these up.

I will try within the next couple of weeks with just the ingediants list and no food colouring.

Please note these creations were drawn on with a sharpey permiment marker pen not the previously researched puffy paint but dont worry it will be explored.

This is a trail and error experiment.

Thank you for looking.

Food Imitations reg (1989). x

I found out about this today and was shocked by what I found. I never knew there was a food imitations regulation to do with food jewellery.

The Food Imitations (Safety) Regulations 1989

Please note the following important information in relation to purchases of jewellery resembling sweets, cakes, fruit or other foodstuff.
The aforementioned products are sold to you, the customer, on the understanding they do present a potential
choking hazard and as such do not comply with section 4 of the Food Imitations (Safety) Regulations 1989.
These beads are made of non-toxic polymer clay. They are not edible nor are they suitable for children.
Just thought you would like to know i'm glad i found out about this.
Thank you, Lana x

Extra squishy info...x

After my post not long ago i remembered that on my first squishy related post i gave a link to what first got me to check out the squishy clay. It was a person wanting to know what to draw on the squishy clay once cooked and i saw in her comments puffy paint is the answer, ive never heard of puffy paint previously but this sample video (link) shows you can buy it also the way to use it is fantastic,
also you can home make it which i plan to do either tonight or tomorrow and the link i might follow is this (link).
However if i find a better one without shaving cream i will follow that and link this blog to it for you all.
Thank you. Lana xo

The start of my squishy adventure.x

I followed the instructions from the previously linked tutorial but I wanted coloured squishy clay
so I followed the recipe which is half a cup of plain flour,
1/4 of a cup of salt
and
a table spoon of both veg oil and another tsp of water.
Then I split into 3 and added pink food colour to one third and blue to another third
and both pink and blue to make purple on the final third.
Now im following the instructions to leave over night.
So here I am so far in the photo. I will keep you informed tomorrow.
Thank you lana xo
